Reynald Gillet group - Quality Control in Protein Synthesis

In living organisms, most functions are performed by biomolecules called proteins. The synthesis of these proteins is carried out by a process called "translation" and is performed by the ribosome, a molecular machine present in all living cells. Our team studies the way bacteria produce proteins, using a combination of molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, cryo-electron microscopy and bioinformatics.
