Mitochondrial Biology and Integration with the Cell Cycle team

Mitochondria are organelles key for cell homeostasis: they produce energy for metabolic reactions, they act as signaling platforms and they react to stress. The team focuses on illuminating the diversity of mitochondrial functions in cells, and to explore how these functions are orchestrated during the cell cycle. We rely on fluorescence microscopy and on next-generation live imaging approaches across several resolution scales, going from individual mitochondria to the tissue level.
